Welcome to North Carolina Peace Corps Association!

2024 North Carolina Peace Prize

We are excited to announce we are now accepting applications for the 2024 North Carolina Peace Prize

The North Carolina Peace Corps Association (NCPCA) is now accepting applications for the North Carolina Peace Prize! This award, established in 1998, honors community-based, nonprofit groups that promote the values of the Peace Corps. Organizations that demonstrate the values of public awareness, education, cross-cultural understanding, and community service are encouraged to apply.

The prize consists of a $2,000 check, a hand-thrown vase from Seagrove, NC, and recognition at a ceremony in the early spring that is open to the community. The prize is limited to 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations with annual operating expenses of $1 million or less. You can read more about the 2023 recipient, ComMotion, and other previous winners on the NCPCA website.

We encourage all non-profit organizations that meet the criteria listed above to apply. This includes past Peace Prize winners; however, priority will be given to organizations that have not won previously.

Interested parties must submit the Peace Prize Application by February 29, 2024. A Google login is required to the complete application. If you have any trouble accessing the form or are unable to complete with a Google login, please contact Sara Boro at [email protected].

What We Do

The North Carolina Peace Corps Association (NCPCA) is dedicated to promoting the Third Goal of the Peace Corps, building group spirit and cooperation, promoting service, and serving as an example to others. The North Carolina Peace Corps Association is an affiliate member of the National Peace Corps Association. The group has a Steering Committee that meets bi-monthly to handle the business of the organization, and you can see those members on the Steering Committee Page.
